Video of us flashmobbing (or flash queuing) the Tempting Tattie after today's @Herring1967 and @CollingsA podcast
After today's Collings and Herrin podcast at the Edinburgh Fringe we all tramped on down to the Tempting Tattie in an attempt to "break the shop". By the time we got there a massive queue had already formed, full of people who weren't even at the show! Obviously we did break the shop... and they ran out of potatoes before we got to the front. Fifteen minutes later a new batch was ready and we all finally got to try "The Richard Herring" (cheese and mango chutney).
Here's a shaky and hastily uploaded video of the event shot on my little flip camera. It doesn't make for particularly compulsive viewing, unless you're a big fan of potatoes or queues. Included here is the moment where the shop owner attempts to headbutt Richard Herring, and some real "members of the public" reactions to Richard's moustache. Not included is the part where two guys pull up in a car and ask what we're all queuing for, to which the queue replies in unison - "Potatoes!". Ahhh... The Edinburgh Fringe.
